6 holes before the disaster

Using the site, the user makes up some general idea of it, in other words, puts a label on it. This assessment can be either “A good online store” or “Some kind of crooked site.” How to make the user put a positive label on your site?

There is a saying: “1 error is an accident, 2 is a coincidence, 3 is a pattern.” If the same error is traced in the interface, design or content of the site 3 times or more, then the user will put a negative label on your site.

  • Is there water in the descriptions instead of content? The label is “texts about nothing”.
  • Buttons that are difficult to hit with your finger? The label is “curve design”.
  • Blurred or stretched images? The label is “artisanal execution”.
  • Are the words “100%”, “FREE”, “BEST” and a flashy tone in the title? The label “scammers”.
  • Etc .

Conduct a thought experiment: imagine that you are filling out an insurance application form from your phone. It consists of 30 items. In 25% of cases, you miss the right field with your finger. It’s annoying. Having finished the whole process, what impression will you have left? What label will you put on the site? How will this affect your attitude towards the company?

As a rule, 2 shortcuts are enough for the user to close the tab. But even minor flaws reduce the value of the brand, which leads to a decrease in added value and a decrease in business margins.

Having made only 6 mistakes, 3 each in 2 areas, you will sink your Internet business. Try to correct the reasons for doubting you in time.
