Rules for formatting text on a page

Large blocks of solid text the size of several screens are negatively perceived by users. In such an abundance of text, it is difficult to find the information of interest and understand whether the page responds to the user’s request.

3 paragraphs running in a row occupy the entire phone screen. After seeing this, the user is likely to close the site.

Remember, you only have 15 seconds to get the user interested and convince them to stay on the page. Therefore, structure the content so that it is suitable for cursory study.

Refrain from large chunks of unformatted text. It will definitely be ignored in those first 15 seconds of viewing. Try to make paragraphs no more than 500 characters in size. Be sure to use headings and lists. If it is easier to provide information through an illustration or in the form of tabular data, then be sure to use this.

Search engines are trained to recognize large chunks of unformatted text and lower pages containing such chunks in search results.
