Video bitrate
Video bitrate - shows how much memory a 1-second video takes. For a bitrate of 1 Mbps, 1048576 bits (or 131072 bytes) of disk space per second will be used. The 15-second video will take up 1.875 megabytes of hard disk space.
Popular video hosting services use the following bitrate limits
| Video resolution | Bitrate, standard frame rate (24, 25, 30) |
Bitrate, high frame rate (48, 50, 60) |
|---|---|---|
| 8K | 80 - 160 Mbit | 120 - 240 Mbit |
| 2160p (4K) | 35-45 Mbit | 53-68 Mbit |
| 1440p (2K) | 16 Mbit | 24 Mbit |
| 1080p | 8 Mbit | 12 Mbit |
| 720p | 5 Mbit | 7.5 Mbit |
| 480p | 2.5 Mbit | 4 Mbit |
| 360p | 1 Mbit | 1.5 Mbps |
