Finger friendly

Buttons, links, form fields — in general, all active elements should be large enough to easily hit them with your finger on the phone screen. So users will explore the site without being distracted by aiming their finger at the buttons. The more focused the user studies the site, the more pleasure he will get from visiting, therefore, the higher the probability of performing a targeted action.

It's easy to miss the
It’s easy to miss the “stuck” links inside the text with your finger. Try to have at least 1 line on top and bottom.

We recommend a minimum size of 40×40 pixels. It roughly corresponds to the size of a square on the phone screen of 10×10 millimeters. This is enough to easily, without aiming, and without missing, hit the right elements with your finger.

The exception is text links within the text. They have a set height of 1 line. To make it convenient to click on them with your finger, make them at least 40 pixels wide and make sure that there are no active elements at the top of the link and at the bottom.

Use our visual tool to find and display buttons that are too small.
